Looking Foward to Windows 10 Game Mode

After reading about the upcoming Game Mode in the next big update for Windows 10, I'm very intrigued to see this in action. I know over the years I've gone through lots of effort to make sure as little as possible is running on my computer when I play games. The ability to do it through a mode in Windows makes me very excited to see how much performance I gain while playing the games I love.

I've debated installing the latest Windows 10 Insider build, but I decided to quit using Insider builds last month when I wiped and reinstalled everything on my computer for the sixth time in just under a year. While I love testing new things and trying them out, I realized that doing it on my main computer just wasn't cutting it anymore when I need reliability.

I wish I had a decent enough backup computer to test things on like game mode, but I will just be patient at this point. I understand the next big update to Windows will come out in March or April. That's not as far away as it sounds.

In the meantime, I think it might be beneficial to look into updating a few of my PC components this year. My current build is about two years old and wasn't exactly the greatest when I built it. We shall see how the finances line up over the next month or two.
